Release notes service release ALLPLAN 2024-2 (04/02/2025)

General

Thanks to several edits and corrected messages in the Quality Reporter, Allplan now is even more stable.

Licensing

With Allplan 2024-2, the WIBU licensing system (Single User) will be changed to a cloud-based licensing solution (Named User). The license settings in the services application are therefore no longer available during a new installation.

The following table lists the differences between the two systems.

WIBU

  • The customer can activate the license using a code
  • The customer can return the license to the WIBU server
  • The customer can activate the license on another device
  • Works via LAN or private WLAN (VPN)

Cloud-based licensing solution

  • The customer can activate the license using a user name and password (Allplan ID)
  • No return necessary, license is automatically returned when Allplan is closed
  • The customer logs in with their user name and password on another device.
  • Works globally, only requires access to the license server

MSI Setup

When you upgrade or update to Allplan 2024-2, a message about the new licensing model will appear.
