With the introduction of the BIM-Connector®, FRILO, the leading provider of calculation programs for structural tasks, has made an important contribution to collaborative building planning. Apart from IFC files from Allplan (see workflow paper), users can also import SAF files from Bimplus into the BIM-Connector® and use the geometry data as a basis for element design. Additionally, there are other relevant interfaces between Allplan and FRILO. For example, reinforcement results from the FRILO programmes Slabs by Finite Elements PLT (ASF) and Reinforced Concrete Column B5+ (IFC) can be transferred directly to Allplan. Furthermore, the Building Model GEO enables SAF export, whereby information on loads and geometry details can be elegantly stored in Bimplus.
