Germany/Munich, March 14, 2013 – With 15 template projects, Nemetschek Allplan is supporting its architecture and engineering customers in their dealings with large clients in Lower Saxony, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony, among other places. The template project of GWG München (Munich municipal housing association) has just been updated.
Construction projects for large clients often require the contracted planners to adhere strictly to certain specifications. CAD software vendor Nemetschek Allplan supports the exchange of CAD data with "template projects". Template projects are electronic project templates that provide wizard functions and predefined elements to help planners meet the CAD conventions of municipal clients, for example. They also provide an insight into the background of the respective organization, as well as details on the applicable specifications.
Nemetschek Allplan continuously updates these template projects and adapts them to new standards. The most recent example is the template project for GWG München (Munich municipal housing association). Among other things, the existing plan headers have been replaced by the new plan layouts currently used by GWG. In addition to the existing plan layouts, an A2 plan layout has been created, both as a template in the drawing file and as a plan. The structuring of the wizards has been adapted to the GWG specifications and individual elements added with the appropriate creation function. All changes have already been maintained in the template project for the current Allplan version 2013.
Robert Bäck, senior product specialist from Architecture Product Management at Nemetschek Allplan: "In government orders, in particular, it is important to follow the specifications exactly. The requirements differ from project to project. Our aim is to provide our customers with as much support as possible for their day-to-day work. By using our free template projects, planners have more time for their actual task, namely designing. The high demand shows that we are closing an administrative gap here."
