Nemetschek Allplan presents software solution for Building Information Modeling at BAU 2015

Nemetschek Allplan will present its software solutions for architects, engineers and facility managers at the BAU 2015 from January 19-24, with particular focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM). At stand 320 in Hall C3, visitors will be given an insight into how BIM works in practice. Renowned customers, including BMW, Blocher Blocher Partners, Tau Ingenieure, and vollack and wörner traxler richter, will present current planning projects that they have drawn up on the basis of BIM.

At the trade fair, Nemetschek’s emphasis will be on the new features of Allplan 2015, which provide architects and engineers with even greater planning support. For example, the CineRender from Maxon can help to create photo-realistic visualizations from Allplan for competitions and customer acquisitions. Engineers will discover how they can use Allplan 2015 to save time while reducing errors. For example, complex tasks, such as the creation of sections along any curves or the modeling of tendons, which were previously time-consuming, can now be completed quickly.

Planning in five dimensions
In addition, visitors can find out about the solutions for cost planning and scheduling based on Design2Cost and Sablono. Design2Cost combines the design, the schedule of rooms and buildings, and cost planning into a single entity. Sablono adds the fifth BIM dimension, namely model-based scheduling. This means that critical information about changes is provided to all project partners in real time and is digitally documented.

Optimized processes, better teamwork
Another focal point is the bim+ cloud technology for improved project management. The central element of this is an open, cloud-based BIM server. It supports collaboration services such as version and revision management, as well as analyses. Practical examples will be used to show how teamwork between planners and designers can be simplified with the help of bim+.

“Allplan provides the ideal starting point for BIM-based working and thus for a new generation of optimized building planning, execution and management,” says Jörg Rahmer, CEO of Nemetschek Allplan. He goes on to add: “We are looking forward to demonstrating our software to the visitors to the BAU trade fair.”
