Allplan Will Be Presenting Innovative Methods in Facility Management at INServFM

Efficient and cost-effective management processes are high on the agenda for facility and real estate managers. Building Information Modeling (BIM) offers great opportunities here. At INServFM, from February 23 to 25 2016 in Frankfurt, Allplan will be showing how Allplan solutions can be used to efficiently manage the entire life cycle of a building, from planning and construction through to management.

Around 70 percent of the total costs in the life cycle of a building are generated in its management phase. The BIM working method therefore offers facility and real estate managers great opportunities for linking all the information about a building, about rooms and costs, all documentation, installations and administrative guidelines transparently and
beneficially.

“Our solutions provide facility and real estate managers with efficient tools and powerful interfaces. They can thus complete their tasks more efficiently and quickly, and therefore also more cost-effectively. We look forward to demonstrating the capabilities of our solution at the trade fair,” says Marion Gran, Head of Product Management Facility Management.

User-friendly, powerful, bi-directional and open
For all the relevant information to actually be available in the management phase, all information about and changes to a building must be documented, from the first draft through to completion. Allplan Allfa supports this process with a bi-directional interface between the CAD and CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) solutions It enables building information to be imported and exported from and to Allplan (CAD) and AutoCAD. Thanks to
the solution’s user-friendly web interface, facility and real estate managers can already use Allplan Allfa in the planning phase as a data hub between general and specialist planning and design. Thanks to the connection to the CAD system, error-prone manual data input is not necessary, and the data can be used with added value in the administration phase.

Online schedule of rooms at the heart of the BIM process
A central data pool is required if the full benefits of the BIM working method are to be exploited. All the information about a building project is collected in this data pool. The online schedule of rooms to accompany planning, which links the Allplan CAD solution and the Allplan Allfa CAFM solution with each other, optimally performs this function. Architects, design specialists and facility managers enhance the schedule with building information such as material qualities, quantities and masses. In this way, building structures can be defined and their quality analyzed. Similarly, the equipment grades can be compared with each other, or assignments to standards created. All those involved in the process have access to the information that is relevant to them, broken down accurately. The online schedule of rooms provides more transparency and efficiency in the planning, execution and management of a building.

Allplan Allfa innovations 2015
The trade fair presence will also focus on the new Allplan Allfa 2015 version. An overview of the highlights:
