Presentation about Open BIM ecosystems in the AEC industry
Munich, 12 March, 2019 – ALLPLAN a global provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for the AEC industry, will attend the buildingSMART International Standards Summit in Dusseldorf from 25 to 28 March 2019. The focus of this internationally prestigious conference on the digitization of the construction industry will be the further development of open and manufacturer-neutral standards and interfaces. About 500 participants expected
During the buildingSMART International Standards Summit, around 500 participants from all over the world will meet to work on manufacturer-neutral and open standards for BIM and other digital tools and methods for the construction industry. The Summit starts with the Opening Plenary on Monday, 25 March 2019. The Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf, Thomas Geisel, will welcome the international guests and participants. There will be a number of keynote speeches from high-ranking personalities from both business and politics as well as discussions on topics around the digitization of the construction industry. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the supporting program - BIM at its Best will offer insights into current and international BIM projects and solutions.
On Wednesday there will be a feature presentation from ALLPLAN titled “Open BIM ecosystems as the key for collaboration and cocreation in the AEC industry”. The presentation, to be delivered by Stefan Kaufmann, Product Manager BIM Strategy and New Technologies will elaborate on the question of how openness and adaptability are becoming the decisive success factors for BIM eco systems. Visitors can attend Kaufmann’s presentation on March 27, from 15.00 to 15.30.
buildingSMART User Day
The 17th buildingSMART User Day is one of the most prominent BIM events in Germany and marks the end of this intensive buildingSMART week. On Friday, 29 March 2019, in more than 35 lectures and presentations, current and user-related aspects of BIM and digital methods and tools will be highlighted. In addition, important interrelated topics such as legislative or regulatory issues will be addressed. The 17th buildingSMART User Day is going to be introduced by the traditional evening reception of buildingSMART Germany on Thursday, 28 March 2019.
