The common goal is to promote digitization in facility management
Munich, November 2, 2020 – ALLPLAN and the project planning and consulting company Drees & Sommer have agreed to cooperate in the CAFM workshop. The CAFM workshop is an information platform where software providers make their products available for test purposes. Users can obtain comprehensive information about the technical application possibilities. ALLPLAN is one of the newest cooperation partners in the CAFM workshop and contributes with the BIM software Allplan and the open BIM platform Allplan Bimplus.
The decision-making process for a particular CAFM system is often very complex: usability, connectivity, scope of services, future-proofing - the list of requirements is long. In order to lower the hurdles, the consulting firm Drees & Sommer has launched the CAFM workshop with currently eleven providers of CAFM and BIM solutions. Felix Leonhard, Senior Consultant at Drees & Sommer, explains: "The CAFM workshop is a way of making the digitization potential for facility management tangible before software is purchased. We think this is a good approach. We are pleased that we were able to win ALLPLAN as the leading provider in this area".
BIM creates efficiency in facility management
"Drees & Sommer's CAFM workshop offers the opportunity to experience the future of digitization today," says Stefan Kaufmann, Product Manager BIM Strategy & New Technologies at ALLPLAN. "With the integration of Allplan Bimplus into the MCS 20 IWMS software from our sister company Spacewell, we have taken a decisive step towards our goal of seamlessly connecting the AEC industry with end-to-end digital processes. For companies in the facility management sector, BIM-based work processes offer a wide range of potential for optimization and savings", continues Stefan Kaufmann.
