Germany/Munich, October 08, 2012 – Three years ago, Allplan Campus − the online platform of the Nemetschek Allplan university initiative − went online. Today, it already has 50,000 registered users. At campus.allplan.com/, students, pupils and teachers in all construction-relevant professions can download the Allplan BIM software free of charge, make use of training offerings and e-learning tools or exchange information on international forums.
"The numbers speak for themselves: 50,000 users − more than 1,500 of them teachers − are our biggest gift on Allplan Campus's third birthday. In recent years, we have continuously expanded our offering and are internationally successful today," says Karin Schmidt, Team Manager Education at Nemetschek Allplan.
The online platform Allplan Campus is now available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech and offers users worldwide free access to the current full version of the BIM software. The forthcoming CAD version Allplan 2013 will be available for download in October 2012.
Education with BIM
2D drawing, building modeling or 3D design – Allplan Campus provides pupils and students with the opportunity to learn at their own pace. Regardless of time and place, they get to know the BIM software as a universal tool and gradually develop into a CAD expert. As a result, they are well-equipped for professional life.
"As a result of an internship in an architectural firm, I had to familiarize myself with the Allplan CAD program within a very short space of time. I was happy about the help available at Allplan-Campus. I was able to find my way around quickly and obtained a lot of useful information," says Sophie Cohnen, architecture student at RWTH Aachen.
Forum for teaching
Allplan Campus is directed at various educational institutions from vocational colleges through to universities: All registered teachers receive additional rights in order to download training documents or exchange information in a separate forum area. In addition, they can maintain personal contacts or find out about news or events in their area. The free teacher training for qualification as a Nemetschek Certified Instructor (NCI) is particularly sought after. With this, teachers in Germany are officially authorized by Nemetschek Allplan to hold CAD training courses at public educational institutions. The dates are published at campus.allplan.com/de/training/termine.html, and additional dates are possible in other regions on request.
